We at Cable Tie Express have chosen to introduce this month’s selection of the charity to which we will donate a portion of our profits with a different type of lead in and perspective.  Put simply and with intention - Enjoy every moment in the present.  Each of us can reflect and perhaps live a bit in the past. Happy memories are comforting and a happy place.  Each of us can plan and prepare for the future.  Visions ahead are inspiring and energizing.  But never ever miss the gift of the present. 

Living in the present, giving each and every bit of energy, enthusiasm and determination to all with an eye to the future had to have been at the core of Noah Benjamin Reisman.  It is his legacy that is being preserved and honored through The Noah Benjamin Reisman Foundation, Inc.  The life of Noah, an incredible and accomplished young man, was snuffed out way too soon in a tragic accident this past September 2020.

While 2020 may be in the rear view mirror, the impact associated with the stress due to Covid-19 and the coronavirus remains, including the increased consumption of alcohol.  Studies have shown that during 2020 this heightened alcoholic consumption for many individuals has led to great challenges for individuals and families. 

As we kick off the new year, some focus is on how to counter this growth in alcoholic consumption in a positive way.  The Center for Disease Control’s has listed limiting the use of alcohol as one of “totally doable New Years resolutions”.  The news media has promoted Dry January – a month when people voluntarily stop drinking alcohol, starting the year on a sober, more refreshed and healthy note - as a challenge that has been taken up by many around the world.  

We at Cable Tie Express through its CTE Gives Back! Program are eager to lend support in this arena. We are happy to have chosen Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation in Minneapolis, MN with the CTE funds being directed specifically to the Bridge Clinic as the recipient of the January 2021 donation.

HolidayiSponsorship 2020 – Three Families

Warm and wonderful holidays sparkling with happiness and joy are on tap for three families in the Hamilton County, IN area as CTE Gives Back! through the Good Samaritan Network HolidayiSponsorship 2020 outreach!

As the signature holiday assistance program in the area, GSN collaboratively with individuals, agencies, organizations, and churches has implemented this 2020 program with a grassroots approach and countless hearts of caring.  Holiday food, new clothing, gift cards and toys will be gifted to countless individuals and families this holiday season.

A shout out, salute, and donation of funds from the CTE Gives Back! program this month goes to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  MDA is celebrating its 70^th year as the largest source of funding (excluding the federal government) for neuromuscular disease research and in the past seven decades has committed in excess of $1 billion to research impacting and transforming the lives of people with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases. 

THREADS FOR TREADS

OCTOBER 2020

With the combination of cooler fall temps leading to cold winter weather, how fitting for Cable Tie Express to choose Threads for Treads as its October 2020 recipient of the CTE Gives Back! program.

While water is something that nearly all of us in the United States take for granted on a daily basis, it’s astonishing to think that globally 785 million people – 1 in 9 - live without safe access to water and 2 billion people – 1 in 3 - live without improved sanitation! And now as all are facing the impacts of Covid 19, it is even more critical to the health of families worldwide to have access to safe water.

Water.org, an international nonprofit organization with a 25 year history, has positively transformed literally millions of lives around the world with safe water and sanitation through affordable financing.  The organization has worked with corporations and partners to create access for financing, such as small loans, for those who need it most.

AUGUST 2020 RECIPIENTS

Cable Tie Express through its CTE Gives Back! Program is pleased to announce the recipients for its August 2020 contributions - St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation.   Both of these charities focus on the youngest members of our society – our children.
