THROUGH CARMEL DANCE MARATHON

Music was rockin’, feet were dancing, and the halls were alive with tunes and dancing during the Carmel Dance Marathon in Carmel, IN!  All of this energy exploded for six hours as over 1000 students were dance-focused on raising money for the Riley Hospital for Children, a 501 (c ) public charity. 

Cable Tie Express is happy to support the efforts of CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL with its monthly contributions through the CTE GIVES BACK program!  We know that mile after mile of pedaling by family, friends, survivors, and thrivors of rare cancer patients DOES make a difference! 

With February branded as the “month of love” and Valentine’s Day its most celebrated day, CTE is happy to make its monthly charitable contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association.  As Alzheimer’s is truly a disease that impacts particularly older people who perhaps have enjoyed many years of marriage with love and commitment, facing this disease together perhaps may truly be the hardest challenge a couple can face.  The disease and its impact on the patient and family are horrible and the challenge presented to the caregiver (often the spouse) is heart wrenching as he/she watches his/her mate “die twice”.  What a great and final gift of love that spouse gives during the course of the disease.  And if it is a child (as is often the case) who is the caregiver and must provide that care, the love, patience, and resources required are immense!  

US Breast cancer statistics are alarming – About 12% - or 1 in 8 US women - will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.  In 2019 alone, an estimated 268,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer have been diagnosed along with 62,930 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer. 

Attacking more than the individual, breast cancer reaches the hearts of parents, children, siblings, extended family and friends.  So it is no wonder that Cable Tie Express has received multiple requests from its family of customers, suppliers, and employees for assistance with various organizations dealing with this disease.  Through the CTE Gives Back program, we are happy to support three organizations that help with women and their families dealing with breast cancer to not only survive but also to thrive during the days of battle and beyond.  

The Green Beret Foundation is an amazing veteran charity, providing direct and continuous support to the Green Beret community and its families.   Special Forces Green Berets – “America’s Quiet Professionals” – are the one percent of the one percent continuing to fight the Global War on Terror in over 80 countries worldwide.  These men are those most frequently exposed to combat, resulting in the highest casualty rate (60%) and make up 50% of those killed in action among U.S. Special Operations Forces.
