April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month in the US. So it is only fitting that Cable Tie Express with its CTE Gives Back! Program has chosen to direct its April charity dollars to an organization that provides services that support individuals impacted by sexual assault, domestic violence, and abuse. Learn more about the IU Health Center of Hope.

TREES CHARLOTTE

Spring has sprung, the birds are singing, flowers are popping, and trees are budding! The world of nature is in its freshest season. One of our cities – Charlotte, NC – has been known for its glorious mix of majestic oak trees, pines reaching far to the sky, elegant elm trees and gorgeous longleaf pines. But this picture has been changing during recent years as Charlotte was losing over three football fields of trees per day. Its tree canopy had fallen from 49% to 45% in the six-year period from 2012 – 2018. A study done by the University of Vermont in collaboration with Trees Charlotte, a 501(c) nonprofit established in 2012, helped to provide the fuel for its mission path to “grow, diversify, and steward the city’s iconic urban forest”.

THE HEARTBEAT OF HOAGLAND FOUNDATION

When the calendar flips to February, Valentine’s Day comes to mind but also topping the list of February thoughts is that February is National Heart Health month. It seems only fitting to award the CTE Gives Back! charity dollars to an organization with healthy heartbeats in mind.

MY TEAM TRIUMPH

It was Jim McKay who popularized the phrase “The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat” from the TV Series ABC’s Wide World of Sports several decades ago. What a backdrop and reflective memory as Cable Tie Express is proud to present its award for January to myTEAM TRIUMPH , a 501(c)3 corporation whose belief is that “everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy of crossing the finish line”!

GOOD SAMARITAN NETWORK

“Teamwork is dreamwork” and that certainly speaks to the work of the Good Samaritan Network as it continues to serve the physical, financial, and emotional needs of underserved and at-risk individuals and families in Hamilton County, IN. In December with its Holiday Assistance program, this organization goes into action with its role as the umbrella for the collaboration of non-profits in the area which support one another. Making this happen flawlessly and without duplication of efforts and opportunities for the clients with consistent programming and services is a key goal of GSN all year long.

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF NOBLESVILLE

It was in 1951 that the Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville, IN was formed to provide character shaping opportunities for the youth of Noblesville. Twenty-three years later, in 2022, 2,036 members were served through a vast multitude of programs, and no one was turned away due to a lack of financial resources.

Highlights of July include a multitude of activities from families enjoying the sunshine and relaxed times summer brings to all of us in the USA celebrating our Independence Day with fireworks, family gatherings, picnics, and more! With this celebration from many perspectives, the CTE Gives Back! Program is targeting its charity dollars to an organization also with multiple goals – the U Foundation. Located in Plainfield, IN, the Foundation supports the organizations of the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation and the Family Readiness Group.

OPEN DOORS OF WESTFIELD

1990 was the year; Joe and Alice Trentman were the founders; and Open Doors of Westfield was the organization founded to provide food, clothing, and spiritual support to individuals in Hamilton County, IN. This amazing organization has been growing and making a stronger impact each year in the lives of many families in this Indiana community.

TAPS FOR VETERANS

A very personal Cable Tie Express story is “behind the scenes” as we have chosen to channel our charity dollars for the month of May with its major holiday of Memorial Day to Taps for Veterans, Inc., a 509(a)(2) Corporation founded in 2021.

MEALS ON WHEELS

“Together, We Can Deliver” - That is the tagline for the Meals on Wheels network made up of over 5,000 community-based programs across the United States as the organization addresses the issues of senior hunger and isolation. This 501(C)(3) recognizes that seniors are at greater risk of hunger and malnutrition, that the senior population is growing and changing rapidly, and that older Americans are living longer with less money – all enhancing the value from the Meals on Wheels program which starts with a meal and delivers so much more.
