“Teamwork is dreamwork” and that certainly speaks to the work of the Good Samaritan Network as it continues to serve the physical, financial, and emotional needs of underserved and at-risk individuals and families in Hamilton County, IN. In December with its Holiday Assistance program, this organization goes into action with its role as the umbrella for the collaboration of non-profits in the area which support one another. Making this happen flawlessly and without duplication of efforts and opportunities for the clients with consistent programming and services is a key goal of GSN all year long.
The Good Samaritan Network, started in 1995, has become the signature Holiday Assistance Program in the county, coordinating with various organizations, agencies, individuals, and churches to provide basic holiday provisions of food, clothing, toys, and more.
Other direct services throughout the year involve emergency or crisis intervention – housing and utility assistance, food insecurities, car repair, and more – as well as educational opportunities and direct care when clients have nowhere else to turn.
This strong network enables the survival of these nonprofits and creates a sense of hope within the community. The partnerships and connections result in every partner feeling valued and contributes to resources and benefits than each may not be able to accomplish individually and independently. The organization through its partners is consistently multitasking and working together to achieve a “healthy, strong and vibrant” Hamilton County.
It is with great pride that Cable Tie Express has selected the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County as it’s December recipient of our CTE Gives Back! program.
